My Story

Avalon Richter, Registered Massage Therapist

Avalon has been practicing Massage Therapy for over 20 years, graduating in 2001 from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy. She has a quiet home based practice in Coldstream. Avalon offers traditional Swedish and Myofascial techniques as well as stretching to help the body through its healing process.
In September of 2024 Avalon began learning how to treat and care for people recovering from breast and chest surgeries through an intensive 6 month mentorship program called the Mastectomy Guide. This program includes advanced training to offer support in pre and post surgery for breast and chest procedures, including breast cancer, elective surgeries, and gender-affirming procedures. Avalon can address post-op complications, pain, swelling, scar tissue, postural compensations, numbness, movement restrictions and offer tailored support during chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
